I put so much time and effort to write the Q&A session...Just please give credit...
Follwing is the link to the LA con pics that I took...some good, some are okay..
You can view all the pictures on JAF main site...
and following is Q&A of Jared, Jensen and J&J..I do not think there are any spoilers in it..All they talked about their previous experiences....
Disclaimer: Please do not held me liable for anything I wrote, because it is all based on my memory, pictures I took or with the help of some videos that are posted on the net.…It is very well possible that actual words or context may be bit different….especially questions asked by different people, I am just giving the general idea what was asked… thanks
Q&A took place in Imperial Ballroom at Marriot. It was a big hall…and they played some videos in the beginning, in which one was without sound, funny…the other was the Ghostbusters. It was very interesting to watch.
The guy who was introducing J& J said the exact same remarks that he probably said in Chicago Con…like Jensen and Jared are very handsome and he is attracted to them in a very manly way…And requested us not to tear their clothes or blind them with our flashes...*lol*
JARED:
After the video finished Jared walked on the stage saying that they look so young in the video and started smiling..
With huge applause Jared walked onto the stage. He was adorable, sweet and funny. Me and my friend were sitting very close to exit Door, there we saw Sandra standing all the time during Jared was on stage. She was looking adorable laughing at pretty much everything Jared said…so cute. I wish them all the happiness and they are an absolute cute couple.
I will just add some tidbits, not the actual sequence in which questions were asked. So here we go
JARED’S PANEL:
Q: Did they coach the two kids that played their role in episode “Supernatural Christmas”?
JP: We did meet them, but never coached them. The two boys are really talented and have the same sort of brotherly relationship as Sam and Dean have, and we all were very happy how they performed on the screen.
Q: Was it him who screamed during exorcism scene in “Born Under Bad Sign” or it was digitally altered?
JP: Yes. It was me….(He smiled and also said Ouch I think). And Jensen added the big punch in the scene (we all were laughing) which end up in the final cut…I was little surprised with that why I am getting punch for?
Q: You are considered a bit jokester on the set, did you behave or made it easy for Jensen when he was dead in AHBL 2?
JP: Yes, because Jensen went so far to bring out the emotions, all I did to pretend dead as good as to help him to play the scene…no jokes.
Q: Please say “I lost my shoe” It was adorable?
JP: (A little reluctant at first) but said “I lost my shoe” …So sweet.
Q: When Dean said “Son of Bitch” in “In Bad Day at Black Rock”, did you start laughing in the end?
JP: Yes it was Jared cracking up…
Q: what episode was the most challenging for him?
JP: The most challenging episode for me has been Mystery Spot, because it was such a weird episode for an actor. In order to make it real, it had to be real to me. Once Johnny Depp said that to make something real you really have to feel it real and believe it to be real yourself first. I had to imagine my brother dying in order to get myself emotionally in the right place, which was particularly hard since it was around Christmas time, and I get so happy around that time that it's hard for me to get on set and have to be sad.
Q: What is your favorite episode? Actually I do not remember the exact question
JP: I think Jensen's best episode this season has been The Kids Are Alright. I could watch it as an audience member since I wasn't in it a lot, and just loved it. It was scary and touching and funny at the same time.
Q: Did he ever done anything embarrassing around celebrities?
JP: Once at either the Golden Globes or an after party, I was gawking at Tom Hanks like a slack jawed fan girl I really respect that man and want to have a career like him someday.
Q: The girl from Texas asked why he was ever enrolled at UT Austin.
JP: Laughed. Because I love their basket ball team…
Q: you are signed in “Friday 13th” and do you like doing horror or what other genre he will like to work in?
JP: Yes, I am in Friday 13. It was something that was thrown at me; I took it because it will be going to film in Austin Texas, where my brother lives with his family so I will love to work close to my family.
My favorite question:
Q: In Mystery Spot, how they did the synchronize talk, was it hard?
JP: the hardest part was not getting it right, but trying not to laugh or act so surprised when they did get it right. I rehearsed a lot…I asked Jensen to say it first and then I started to mimic after him. Funny Jensen was not be able to say some words like is it or isn’t. When we are doing it, it was like okay…yes we did it right till sex part and not to laugh as for why Sam has a ruler by the bed . . . . And lets do the other parts…It was hard, but we did it finally.
Q: when exactly did you get tattoos in episode Jus in Bello, and do you have any other tattoos?
JP: No, I do not have any tattoos yet….laughed, but now whenever there will be a shirtless scene we have to have that tattoo…
Q: I am sure there must be something interesting going on in these pictures of behind the scenes, do you like to tell us?
JP: Took the pictures from girl, looked at the projector at the back. Am I coming on this big thing? Yes there I am and showed pictures to all of us and started laughing (pictures were of him in pigtails) May be I lost a dare or something…yup…that’s the reason…laughing.
Q: Where does he see himself professionally in 5 years?
JP: Working. I want to keep working, because industry is weird place with ups and down, keep busy, obviously married by that time to my fiancée Sandy. I'll do the show until it's done, and also some more movies.
He warned us to be nice to Sandy at her panel, that if we were mean to her he'd to come after us.
The Actor's Studio question:
JP: Favorite word? Cookies, Least favorite word? No. Favorite curse ?shit…laughing hard.
She asked this question to everyone..
Q: In a body swap episode, how would he play Dean?
Jared thought that would be interesting and fun, to play it like Face/Off. He'd make a lot of funny faces, like Jensen does.
Q: what you like to play as Sam?
JP: Anything that take us from our comfort zone. I will love to play Evil Sam…
Actually there was a taller person than Jared who asked him the following question…To whom Jared said…Tall guy, Funny
Q: What was your favorite line?
JP: Without hesitant, “Son of Bitch” and after sometime started to call behind stage Jensen…Jensen. When there was no response…
He said.” Dean my Ass” started laughing and keep saying that couple of times.
Q: why he is picking Horror genre?
The girl who asked this her name was Samantha…
JP:” Hi Samantha, I am Sam” started laughing,
I am huge horror fan, likes doing it; horror takes you out of your own world for a while. That's also where the industry is going right now. I would like to do drama, maybe a war movie, and would definitely like to do a western.
The mike was going on or off on him, so he continues giving answers in loud voice, it was very funny too.
Q: what he does in spare time?
JP: Since Harley had knee surgery and he is staying with Sandy, I have Sadie up on set with me and I play with her to keep her from not chewing up the trailer. He relaxes, calls Sandy, but can't totally break out of the character in between scenes. It's not like I can hold Dean's body, then be like, "Hey, let's go chase butterflies!" So I keep reading script in my trailer…
Then Jensen walked out with "What a bunch of crap!" and it was his turn for the panel. Jared left…
JENSEN PANEL:
Jensen was in amazing mood that day, relaxed, and looked like well rested.. Jensen was wearing white shirt with Jean…Man I do not want to comment how incredible hot and handsome he is…No words…silence, speech less…
While trying to settle on the stage he started to look around all the banners hanging around on the walls.
And started like this, On Jared's -- "Ugly." On Fredric, "Evil." On Ash -- "Chad". On Dean in sunglasses in Impala "There he is!" handsome…
We all laughed like crazy…
Q: Will you ever consider as your self singing in the future?
JA: I play guitar and sing "moderately". I probably won't pursue it further, because I have professional musicians as friends to put me in my place. I am happy playing besides them.
Q: Craziest thing that ever happened to you?
JA: This. When I was fifteen, if someone had told me that I be up on stage alone in front of a room of devoted, adorable people…I would have said you are nuts…started smiling.
Q: What was his favorite episode?
JA: I will always have affection for the Pilot for setting up the characters and putting us into characters. I enjoyed working in “What is and what should Never Be”, because it was very challenging for me, Dean was completely out of his element. It helped me to evolve as an actor, so I enjoy those kinds of challenges.
Q: What are his future plans for more plays or acting projects?
JA: I know Jared said Western totally stole my answer. No current stage plans. For future roles, I would like to be John McClain, the average Joe turned hero story, and Dean has a bit of that touch.
Q: can you tell about the future of Ten Inch Hero?
JA: on Ten Inch Hero -- does not have a distributor yet, and the fans probably know more than I do right now, as I basically in a locked box in Canada when filming. Hmmm, you just do your work and hope someone in industry pays attention that’s all one can do.
Q: Are you planning to do any projects during off time?
JA: There are some interesting possibilities, but won't say anything because don’t want to jinx them up.
I loved his answer to this question. Man he is hilarious.
Q: What kind of other interests you have?
JA: Playing guitar, golfing….then he told us a joke
Once A father took his daughter to Golfing and keep cussing at every shot and becoming more angry, frustrated when he would not be able to do it right….then his daughter asked him, “Why are you playing golf” Father answered angrily “Because it relaxes me’’ and then he paused, smiled “ I am just like that person”.
Q: why they filmed “mystery Spot” in( she knows the name of place I have to watch the episode to be exact, but let say Missouri)and Kripke did not answer it, do you know why?
JA: Are you kidding me? Kripke knows everything. If the writer doesn't know, how should I?", that man is genius…I have no idea
Q: Which recently dead character does he miss the most?
JA O that’s easy I miss Jeff.
But person cut him not last season, this season
JA: Sterling Gordon and Malik Whitfield( Hendrickson) are both talented actors…Sterling Gordon was filming with ( sorry I do not remember the name of famous actor but I think Jensen said he is filming with El Pachino)are doing great things. It's wonderful that we keep having these awesome actors on the show, but then we can never have them back. So it ends up being just me and Goofy all day long." Smiled in the end..
Q: What would he like to see for Dean next season?
JA: To Be Alive. I like to be into sticky situations, and being forced to evolve my character. I read in an interview of Sera, she said that if she wrote lines that do not make sense to her, then she just says "O Jensen will make that work." Well, thanks a lot Sera for making my job twice as hard! Then smiled and said “I like Sera, she has been so good to me”.
Q: what are sometimes hard things to play as Dean?
JA: In Mystery spot….when I had to gargle for 12 times just to annoy Sam, after that I could not speak, my throat was soft. In Tall Tales, I was eating caramels,…( started to nod his head) and I will never eat them again. It took about 7 takes, and at any given time I had 12-15 in his mouth. All that sugar numbed my mouth. Bad
Q: what was your favorite Death Scene In Mystery Spot?
JA: In Mystery Spot, favorite death was the furniture falling on me, because I was just walking along the path and boom nothing. Also, when I was hit by car was awesome, then slipping in the shower or the electrocution….ZZZZZ.. Someone from audience said Tacos. Then JA said: Yes tacos, but you could not see much just Sam woke up next day…
Q: On the music note, did you played the piano by yourself in Dark angel?
JA: Yes, I played it by myself, two weeks of training, but I do not remember anything right now..
Q: How do you reconcile the contradictions in Dean's character?
JA: Life in general is a contradiction. Dean can play both sides, as he's complex and layered. He's real, and the writers write him very well. I just hope I play it off as well.
Q: What are you most afraid of?
JA: Clowns…..( again nodding his head) because of Stephen King's "It" and gutters. I didn’t like the dolls in Playthings at all, their eyes…
Q: Did you like working On Days of Our Lives?
JA: I loved working on it and it taught me a lot especially about the technical aspects of acting, like knowing camera lines, hitting marks, not blocking lights, etc. Some people are great at performance but sometimes have a lot of trouble with technicalities, and struggle with doing what comes natural to me versus them finding their mark.
I think at this time Jensen alone time was up and Jared came up on stage with some skittles, but did not bring any for Jensen…they joked around each other a little then started the Q&A session again, there were still some people left who want to ask question to Jensen, so during that time it was funny that people want to ask Jensen question more than Jared, but Jared handled it very well, and when they both are on stage, you can feel a special kind of love going in the air and you can clearly see, what a wonderful chemistry they both have…love them…
J&J PANEL:
Q: What was your Favorite demon-killing weapon?
JA: I like Ruby's knife, I want to have it, the pistol grip sawed-off shotgun.
JP: I like the white eyes, just white then boom!! Well, it wasn't actually a weapon, A demon used to kill others, and it's cool.
Q: Do you do their own fight scenes, and with how much prep?
JA: Yes we do, and with little/no prep. We run, jump, and fall down, and anything more goes to the stunt actors because of insurance concerns. We do our own hand to hand fighting, which is usually rehearsed that day. We got lots of fight training in season 1, but not now.
Jared already answered the question so following question was asked to Jensen. And the best part of the show…Jensen stole the moment..
If anyone can get the chance of watching the video of this on youtube please do watch it…It was awesome
Q: If you have to play body swap episode, how would you play Sam?
Jared stood up trying to take off his coat, everyone going wild with laughing and Jensen was all like "don't encourage him. A body swap? With this Jumbo here? Imitating him? Gladly. Jensen got up, slouched his shoulders, stuck his hands in his pockets, and made a very interesting, sad face. Then he was slumping on the stage …it was hilarious…
Q: Favorite scenes for Jared and Jensen?
Jared: Scene in Born Under a bad Sign while getting exorcised, the whole scene in Bobby's house. I got to be tied up and couldn't move, got water splashed on me, playing evil, getting the black eyes.
Jensen: From WIAWSNB, when Mom opened the door, and I have to convey, all the emotions, without really saying a word. And the scene between Sam & Dean in the dining room, where Sam is still his brother and they didn't know each other.
Kripke keep pulling Jared away and stressing on the fact that they really are strangers, they don't know each other, the relationship, and the dynamic is totally different. They had trouble with not giving each other the usual brother feedback. And Jared found himself thinking, "How sad, that he has a normal life."
Q; The Actor's Studio question for Jensen
Jensen: Favorite word? O man this hard probably I will change my mind after five minutes …..then he said “insatiable”. Least favorite? Milk/bilk(I donot know). Favorite curse? shit. Not too harsh, gets your point across.
Q; Does Jared have any plans for being on stage?
Jared: No, absolutely not, especially after seeing Jensen to portray how I walk…(laughing) because that does not look good on stage It is hard to do live in front of a large audience with no retakes, my heart was pounding the entire time while watching Jensen on the stage.
Q: For Jensen, what's his favorite medium for acting?
Jensen: A half hour sitcom. I was in one briefly long time ago Mr. Rhodes on NBC. Rehearse for weeks, and then perform live in front of an audience, so you get the best of both worlds. You got Instant gratification.. And the schedule you can't be beat .it was like work 3 weeks, and then get a week off.
Q: For Jensen, what's the hardest aspect of Dean to play?
Jensen: His affection for his brother. Jared just laughed. Jensen said that over time, it's gotten natural to feel and know his character. Emotions are always tough, but as they've gotten to know each other as they work together, they use each other to get the best. His favorite parts are playing Dean snappy or sarcastic or cranky.
Q: What are their favorite snacks?
Jensen pointed at Jared and said "Anything with sugar." Jared's like, "Why are you pointing at me?" and saying "Sugar, Sugar" then cracked up laughing. Jensen said he likes anything, beef jerky, whatever's available, he's not picky. O man I am feeling hungry..
Q: In Dream a Little Dream of Me, how did Jensen play that dream scene with himself?
Jensen: It was a very hard scene to do. I had to play one side with a stand in, who was amazing and knew all of Dean's lines. But I couldn't react to how the stand in was saying it, I had to think about how I would play the scene, and react to what was in my head. I couldn't tell the stand in to "act just like me." The hardest part was when I did the whole shot in the chest and black demon eyes, then had to go get cleaned up and play the opposite side. It was a very hard double shoot, but the director was great and did a great job with it.
Q: Why Dean saw Lisa in his dream?
Jensen: Dean Longs for family and it has been made very clear since the Pilot. What he sees in Lisa and Ben is what he'd like in an ideal world, he envies that. But he knows he can't have it, not with what he had seen and what he knows. So what he feels for Lisa and what she represents is a longing sadness, but doesn't believe it's possible.
Q: in mystery spot how Sam feel without Dean not being there?
Jared: Sam without Dean, not good. He really was like John. Sam was tough, but it was tough to play him like that. He had a tough time finding how to act without Dean, because they are really a double act. I was poking around my fake chest prosthetic and pretending to sew it up, and the fake skin was peeling around the edges and it looked really gross, and the whole thing could make you nauseous.
Okay some random facts:
I do not remember where to fit them.
1. Jensen said that it is so wise or handsome to be 30 that some people have no idea about (while looking at Jared)
2. When the photo shoot ended we all were waiting for Jensen and Jared to come out, the door opens. Jensen hid his face and scream…Please do not take my pictures, I am looking horrible. A lady from crowd said…that’s impossible. We all were laughing so hard. And Jared said He loves us all. Darling Jared.
3. A girl was there she was wearing a happy birthday hat, and she did asked question to Jensen…Before giving her answer, he said “I like your hat”
I thought that is so adorable.
And Sigh of relief…I am done finally…I hope you all find it interesting and once again may be things are said in different manners…Please donot be angry at me….I did the best I could and it took me awful lot of time..
Thanks everyone….
